MINI
MINI has confirmed a slew of technical details for the next-generation MINI family, the first of which will be shown later in autumn 2013. So turbocharging is common across the range, and petrol engines employ direct fuel injection for precise metering of unleaded.
NOT ENOUGH new cars in Europe are being specified with an electronic stability programme (ESP) that is proved to be most important safety system in prevent collisions. Research by Frost and Sullivan has found Europe is lagging behind North America, where there is almost 100% success with fitting news cars with ESP. Despite ESP being included in the European New Car Assessment Programme since 2011, the study shows there has been only a minimal increase in the number of cars sold that have ESP.
The Mitsubishi Outlander Juro
The Mitsubishi Outlander has been with us since 2005 and a facelift has been coming ever since Mitsubishi showed the Outlander GT Concept at the New York Motor Show around this time last year. Australia managed to get the Outlander facelift back in September, but it’s taken until now for the UK to get up to date. And even now Mitsubishi aren’t exactly offering the facelifted Outlander for immediate delivery.
